Malaysia compare to others

Referring to the last article that i posted on my blog, i really start to doubt how much role that our parliment is playing in the country policy setting and adminstrative works.

there are a few points that i figured out, which make me feel a bit frusfrated when compare to other country parlimentary systems.

Take United States of America for example:

Chief judge of United States of America are proposed by President of USA to senate hall, and that is a must to get approval from senate for the appointment of chief judge.
Vs
Chief judge of malaysia is proposed by prime minister and the king will approve it. Sometimes a lot of legal expert do have arguement on whether the king have the right to deny the candidate proposed by prime minister or not.... ????

Any huge amount of money (here means money pay to the government in the form of various taxes) expenditure other than those in the annual budget will need the approval of both senates and house of representative, then only secretary of finance can execute the expenditure plan
Vs
Any huge amount of money expenditure other than those in the annual budget will be planned, executed, and implemented by Economics planning Unit in Prime Minister Department and Ministry of Finance.

We need to admit that we still have a lot to improve...... but do compare again

USA gains its independent in 1776, it has its own national political evolution for 232 years
Vs
Malaysia gains its independent in 1957 (or perhaps 1963), it has its own national political evolution for 51 years
we are still young, lets go further and improve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
